About LMCC
Our Organization
LePageville Memorial Cemetery, Inc. is a non-profit, tax exempt 501 (c) 3 organization which consist a group of former residents and volunteers dedicated to the preservation of the 19th century African-American cemetery site known as LePageville Memorial Cemetery. Currently our board consists of 15 Board of Directors.
Our Mission
Our mission is to raise community awareness and funds to fulfill our dream of interpretive signage, green spaces, walking trails, and landscaping consistent with the historical, cultural, and preservation goals of historic Savannah and Georgia.
Our Vision
Our vision is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the cemetery as a historical landmark and paying tribute to those buried there by developing the site as a beautiful, restful, and green environment for all to enjoy.
Our Founders
LePageville Memorial Cemetery, Inc. was founded by George Ponder, Jesse Ponder and Minnie Lou Robinson
